Annual Fund

We hope that you will consider making a gift to the Annual Fund for the Academy’s Future. Contributions to this fund provide an important source of revenue for the National Academy of Education’s (NAEd) general operations as well as provide critical funds to support NAEd’s strategic planning and new project development activities.

This past year has presented several opportunities for NAEd to fulfill its mission to advance the highest quality education research and its use in policy formation and practice (See our newsletter for latest updates on our activities). We are also excited by the Spencer Foundation’s decision to continue the NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship program into the future, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Spencer in providing research support, mentorship, and career development to new generations of education researchers and scholars.

We hope to continue this momentum in the coming year. Under the guidance of the Research Advisory Committee, NAEd is developing several new initiatives, including: a workshop to address “funding cliff” issues and education budget shortfalls that are being experienced by states and districts; a workshop on how, why, & where people learn; and a newly funded workshop focused on the research use of data gathered from adaptive educational technologies. While new initiatives such as these require major foundation support to implement, contributions to the Annual Fund help to provide additional seed money for initial planning and project advancement.
