Annual Fund

We hope you will consider supporting the National Academy of Education by making a gift to NAEd’s 2011-2012 Annual Fund for the Academy’s Future.

Contributions to the annual fund provide an important source of revenue for NAEd’s general operations, and provide critical funds to support NAEd’s strategic planning and development of new project activities. The past year has seen several important projects come to fruition, and the seed money provided through member contributions provides necessary funding for initial planning and project advancement. Among these new initiatives includes a now-funded project to explore the uses of data from interactive learning technologies, as well as two co-sponsored Capitol Hill briefings held in 2011--one focused on the “payoffs of long-term research” and another on “teacher evaluation.” We are optimistic about continuing this momentum in the coming academic year. Under the guidance of the Research Advisory Committee, NAEd is working to develop several new initiatives to advance education research and its use in policy formation and practice. One such effort, “Evaluation of Teacher Education Programs: Toward a Framework for Innovation,” is currently being recommended for funding by the National Science Foundation and likely will commence this fall.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to this year’s Annual Fund. You may contribute online via credit card through our secure website (
http://naeducation.org/Donations_and_Membership_Renewal.html) or mail your contribution to the NAEd offices. Thank you for considering a gift to the Annual Fund - a donation that will help NAEd continue to build its infrastructure and initiate important new projects.

Sincerely,
